Public disclosure
All information collected through OSBA websites becomes a public record unless an exemption in law exists. ORS 192 is the Oregon Public Records Law and there are other program-specific statutes and administrative rules regarding public records. In the State of Oregon, laws exist to ensure that government is open and that the public has a right to access appropriate records and information possessed by state government. At the same time, there are exceptions to the public’s right to access public records that serve various needs, including the privacy of some individuals. Both state and federal laws provide exceptions.
Non-personal information we record
If you do nothing during your visit but browse through the websites, read pages, or download information, our website’s analytics system will automatically record some general information about your visit.
During your visit, our website’s analytics system will record:
- The Internet Protocol (IP) address used for your connection. Example: 122.125.36.42;
- The domain name assigned to your IP Address. Example: somename.com;

- The date and time you visited;
- The web pages you accessed; and
- The web site you visited prior to coming to this web site.
We use this information for statistical analysis, to help us make our sites more useful to visitors. This tracking system does not record personal information.
