Nine school districts and an education service district (ESD) are showing Oregon how they are dreaming bigger through newly created Promise Program tablets.
The new tablets are from Athena-Weston SD, Beaverton SD, Bend-La Pine Schools, Jefferson SD, McMinnville SD, North Santiam SD, Pendleton SD, Salem-Keizer Public Schools, South Lane SD, and the High Desert ESD.
The programs described range from early learning in Pendleton to career and technical education (CTE) in Salem-Keizer to AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) programs in Beaverton and North Santiam.
Through the remainder of this year and into 2017, the Promise campaign will be collecting such examples of how public schools are changing students’ lives, and how by dreaming bigger we can ensure that Oregon students reach their full potential. These examples will be shared with Oregon legislators and other education leaders.
